"In the futurist town of District 12, Katniss Everdeen hunts with her father's arrow and she sells at The Hob which aspires to success. She dates Gale Hawthorne, an 18 year old guy who hunts with her, and she hasn't recovered from her father's death at a coal mine. When Katniss volunteers a tribute to save her sister Prim from The Hunger Games, she has trouble falling in love with the other tribute Peeta Mellark and tries to go back home. As if juggling two men wasn't enough, The Hunger Games is a punishment to Panem that forces these 12 districts to send one young man and woman from 12 to 18 to survive in the most dangerous arenas, with each of whom Katniss must do battle to the death in order to win be the only one to survive."
